Indian cities have become 'heat traps': NDMA members

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) member Krishna S Vats has said that India's cities have become 'heat traps' due to unbalanced urban development. He said that unbalanced urban development has reduced the number of wetlands and reservoirs and increased emissions of greenhouse gases. He further said that due to this the night temperature is increasing.
