The world's biggest railway accident took place in Sri Lanka, 1700 people died

There was a train accident in Sri Lanka on 26 December 2004 in which about 1700 people traveling in the train died. Actually, 'The Queen of the Sea' train was hit by the tsunami and a total of 8 bogies in the train were packed with passengers. This accident is the world's biggest railway accident so far.
