Government bans 156 medicines commonly taken for fever, cold and pain

The Center has banned 156 fixed dose combinations (FDCs), citing 'hazard to humans'. The FDCs which have been banned include many medicines including antibiotics, anti-allergic, pain, fever, cold, multi-vitamins. Medicines made by mixing 2 or more active pharmaceutical ingredients in a fixed ratio are called FDCs
