Sanjay Roy, the accused who allegedly raped and murdered a 31-year-old trainee female doctor in Kolkata, had married four times. According to the accused's neighbours, three of his wives left him due to his abusive behaviour, while the fourth one died of cancer last year. The accused often returned home late at night after drinking alcohol.
